Today went on stage one of the two giants of the European Cup in Andalo and the result smiles not a little on the bears blue: behind the winner, the Swiss Cedric Noger, in fact, they are placed Andrea Ballerin and Simon Maurberger, winner of the first of the two giants from Funäsdalen.

Fifth then Giovanni Borsotti who, after being second ex-aequo with Ballerin in the first heat, lost 3 positions and finished behind the Russian Andrienko. Fifteenth Hannes Zingerle, ex-aequo with the Austrian Hirschbühl, seventeenth Roberto Nani and nineteenth Giulio Bosca (the latter two were also involved in the giant in the Alta Badia World Cup), twentieth Alex Zingerle, ex-aequo with the Norwegian Patrick Veisten. Twenty-fourth is Michele Gualazzi, with Alex Vinatzer following in turn twenty-fifth.
Over 30 there are Stefano Baruffaldi thirty-second, thirty-fourth Alex Hofer followed by Daniele Sorio. Tobias Kastlunger is thirty-seventh, and the last of the Italians is Samuel Molling forty-fifth. Released in the second heat Federico Liberatore (no doubt among our spearheads in the European Cup), Giulio Zuccarini and Pietro Franceschetti disqualified. Michelangelo Tentori, Alessandro Brean and Matteo Canins were out in the first heat. The next round of the European Cup is tomorrow with another men's giant, also in Andalo.
