Brignone in pursuit of Insam in the 1st heat of the Italian slalom: Tschurtschenthaler third

Absolutes of Livigno: the Aosta Valley has to recover 27 cents in the Gardena style, while Peterlini and Gulli pay an important gap.

It is Vivien Insam who commands the first heat of the tricolor slalom in Livigno, the third round of the Italian Absolute Championships on the snow of Livigno. Halfway through the race, the 23-year-old from Val Gardena has a margin of 27 cents over Federica Brignone, with Vera Tschurtschenthaler (Italian champion in the last edition of 2019 in Cortina) third at + 0 ”35. On the other hand, two of the big favorites pay a wider gap, Martina Peterlini who is fourth at 7 tenths from Insam and Anita Gulli with 95 cents to recover. Sophie Mathiou, the junior specialty world champion who made her debut in the top circuit in Lenzerheide, is currently sixth at 1 "08 from the top, with Viviani at 1" 22 and Haller at 1 "39 (preceded by the Swiss Carole Bissig, 7th in the FIS race). Outside Roberta Midali, the second heat is scheduled at the end of the men's slalom, with the start scheduled at around 12.15.
