The research of Blanca Fernandez Ochoa, who died last August 23 in the area around Madrid, continues. It is thought that that of the first woman in her country capable of winning a medal at the Winter Olympic Games is a voluntary gesture, according to what emerges from the police hypothesis once the car on which the 56-year-old former slalom-giant from Madrid had left her own home.
On the vehicle, found Sunday in the area of Cercedilla, in the Dehesas natural park of the Sierra de Madrid, no signs of violence have been detected, even if all the possibilities are considered to ensure that Fernandez Ochoa is found as soon as possible; at the dawn of this morning the police, civil guard, emergency agencies and volunteers (with relatives and friends who formed various research teams) have resumed their work throughout the territory, but also abroad after a week after the disappearance, the Spanish police chose to publicly announce the news.
Blanca, who wore a T-shirt with a Canadian flag, had repeatedly suffered from a form of depression, according to reports from "El Mundo", so much so that she had to be treated and forced to use a drug.
