Elena Fanchini, who has just returned to the blue team of the fast races after having defeated the cancer that had struck her a year ago, stopped again.

The 33-year-old from Montecampione had returned to training on the track at the beginning of November on the European glaciers and, a few days ago, she had flown with her teammates in Copper Mountain, Colorado, where she was scheduled to train while waiting to find again the best condition.
Unfortunately, today, during a training session in super-G, poor Elena, unlucky just like her younger sisters, Nadia and Sabrina, fell by getting a fracture of a finger and a sprained left knee with a fracture of the head of the fibula. Elena will return to Italy to undergo further investigations that will establish the return time on skis.
