On her Instagram profile Elena Fanchini published a series of "stories" in which she explains her health conditions almost bursting into tears.

"Hello, as you could read in the newspapers three days ago I fell, I have no good news as the fall was very bad - says Elena -. I suffered a fracture at the head of the fibula and also a slight fracture at the tibial plateau of the left leg, plus I even broke my thumb. Sunday I will return to Italy and on Monday I will be in the clinic in Brescia, I will also resonate to see the ligaments of my left knee ".
"Well, it was a great blow because I had believed so much but I'm happy to be back even for five days to ski but the worst is over, I recovered from the disease and I did it thanks to this sport and my passion ". Elena never pronounces the word RETREAT but these videos know a lot about ski farewell.
