In fact, over the past few hours, the gathering of Nina Haver-Loeseth and the young companions of the Norwegian national team in preparation for the new season has ended on the slopes of the Stelvio Pass.
The 30-year-old from Alesund is one of the most anticipated athletes for the return to high levels, in the next World Cup season: the nice Nina, in fact, has returned from a very complicated season, started with knee tendon problems that had forced her to skip the opening of Solden and, when the best condition seemed to be coming, here is the crash to the right knee in the slalom at the end of December in Semmering, with the fracture of the tibial plateau and the lesion of the meniscus that forced it to close the World Championships in Are in advance.
Now Loeseth feels ready to go back to Solden already, even if the road is still long and the situation at the level of starting lists is certainly not exceptional: the Norwegian finds herself 28th in the giant WCSL, while she is still in the second sub group of merit in slalom, in 14th place, in the specialty in which it is certainly most awaited and where it obtained one of its two World Cup victories (5 January 2016 in Santa Caterina Valfurva), the last of which came on 30 January 2018 in the city event of Stockholm.
