Alta Badia Ski World Cup
One of the great classics, on the circuit since 1986, will also double this year with the usual two World Cup men's races.

The Alta Badia is a certainty in the FIS calendar and the works to give life to the 34th edition of the appointment on the legendary Gran Risa, have in fact begun with the summer inspection by the men of the international federation, which took place in recent days .
There will be no substantial changes on one of the most challenging tracks in the world with regard to the giant, maintaining the difficulty of the "cat bumps" in the final part to characterize the parallel of the following day; the dates of the appointment in December 2019 are even closer to Christmas than the tradition, with the Sunday giant slalom (which comes after the two-day speed in Val Gardena) which will be held on December 22nd, while the parallel giant at night will be staged in the late afternoon of Monday 23, for what will be the fifth edition of an event that now represents a fixed point of the circuit, also considering the desire of the FIS to enhance this specialty more and more.
Markus Waldner and Emmanuel Couder thus met on the Gran Risa the organization led by Andy Varallo, who already last year inherited the helm from his father Marcello, with Renè Pitscheider and Luca Tiezza, to define all the details of an event that will guarantee certainly a great show, starting from the giant dominated in the last six editions by a certain Marcel Hirscher (who also won the parallel in 2018). The confirmation, as if it were needed, that on the Gran Risa you never win by chance.
