Second and final time trial time, Thursday from 12.30 on the Lauberhorn in Wengen in view of the descent that should take place on Saturday.
We use the conditional as the weather conditions expected from Friday, the day of the Alpine combined, and throughout the weekend, do not promise anything good with snow and humidity. The cancellation of today's race was a precaution, after having regularly played on Tuesday with the best time of Caviezel and the blues immediately on the ball (3rd Paris, 4th Boxes, 6th Marsaglia), but if tomorrow there should be no problems, here that the situation ahead of the races worries organizers and FIS.
For now, no change of plans and another race scheduled in a few hours with the same 11 Azzurri on the track for the decisive selection ahead of the descent, with Christof Innerhofer (starting Thursday with bib number 11) who will therefore dissolve the reserves after a good first test, and Paris to lead the troops having chosen the number 19.
As already announced yesterday, the Swiss Marc Gisin who ended his season prematurely and Urs Kryenbuehl, injured his right foot in Tuesday's training and out for the home weekend, will not be at the start, with all the combinatists expected then Friday (Pinturault, Muffat-Jeandet, Meillard above all) regularly enrolled.
