The awarding ceremony that elected him for the sixth Austrian sport of the year, was the occasion for a brief chat with the media.

Marcel Hirscher had spoken only once in public, after the announcement of his retirement last September 4th. It was the Atomic Day of last October 10, but the winner of the last eight World Cups, last night in Vienna, let himself go a little more, talking about the approach to the world of skiing that , he admits, is devoid of melancholy.
"I watched the races in Soelden on TV and I must say that it was very interesting to be able to evaluate them from a completely different perspective - said the 30-year-old from Salzburg - Saturday, on the eve of the male giant, I reflected on the feelings I had felt all these years : I must say that I felt much better â€.
Ferdinand Hirscher is already active in the federation, to support the young Austrian protagonists, in particular, in the European Cup circuit. "It is his passion, he wants to share his experience and I am glad that he continues, I think boys will benefit from it - explains Marcel referring to his father who has followed his entire career - My plans for the future? Currently I have nothing in mind, I enjoy the family and everything that surrounds me ".
