The last days of "European" skiing for this summer part of the year ended positively, for the Italian sprinters who came down from the pass between Alto Adige and Valtellina last weekend, and then continued with athletic sessions, a gym and a lot of work to be carried out before flying overseas.
Alberto Ghidoni's boys, in fact, are counting the days before the trip to Ushuaia: the start is scheduled for Monday 19 August, with the group of jet men led by the super-g world champion, Dominik Paris (and awaiting the return of Christof Innerhofer), and the veteran Peter Fill, who seems to have recovered after the last difficult season full of physical problems, who will be able to exploit the excellent conditions of the Argentine snow for over three weeks.
"I am very satisfied with my state of form - says Emanuele Buzzi, another key man in the blue speed army and in rapid recovery after Wengen's injury - After a free field session, at Stelvio I managed to train between slalom, giant and super-g. Unfortunately the weather conditions were not ideal, but I'm still happy with the amount of work that allowed me to reach a good level already. Now athletic training and then the 19 for Argentina ... ".
