Kranjska Gora's races behind closed doors, but you should run for the grand finale on Podkoren

On Saturday and Sunday the men's technical competitions which are decisive for the cup, as well as the World Ski Championships in Planica go towards this solution.

Slovenia becomes a crucial node for the end of the tormented winter sports season. Sportily speaking, the country awaits the ski flying World Championships, scheduled in Planica from 19 to 22 March and, according to the latest arrivals in the afternoon, confirmed with a dispute behind closed doors (and an economic damage already calculated at 650 thousand EUR...). In fact, the country's National Security Council met the same day, with health minister Ales Sabeder who confirmed at a press conference the measure taken by the Slovenian government, relating to the reduction of 500 people as a maximum gathering in a public place. Also for the grand finale of the men's Alpine Skiing World Cup, therefore, we will go with the dispute of the event behind closed doors: if there are no further developments, the technical races on the Podkoren, or the giant on Saturday 14 and the slalom on Sunday 15, decisive for the assignment of the absolute crystal ball (and specialty cups), will be regularly staged without an audience. The saddest ending there can be, but the only solution to end the most complicated season with dignity.
