Christof Innerhofer and Stefano Gross have already trained together on the slopes of the Stelvio Pass, right in the days of the return of the Fassa slalom on the track.
Now the work program provides for "Inner", which last week enjoyed the last days of vacation in Ibiza, to break away after starting training on the snow in mid-August, a fourth training block at the Stelvio, in the area of the rehabilitation program that should bring him back into the race already at the end of November in Lake Louise, in the first speed trials of the World Cup season and then eight months after the serious injury to the 34-year-old Gais at the Italian championships in Cortina.
The South Tyrolean downhill skier will be followed on the glacier, from Monday 23 September to Thursday 26 September, by the same Raimund Plancker who has been working alongside him for weeks, and by the head of the Italian sprinters Alberto Ghidoni, who has just returned from the long trip to Argentina at the helm of Paris and his companions.
As for Gross, instead, the recovery goes from a three-day ski (from Wednesday 25 to Friday 27) on the snows of Val Senales, where the 33-year-old blue slalomist will receive the support of coach Stefano Costazza and the trusted Luca Caselli, the specialist in physiotherapy that has been following him for years now and he took care of the preparation after the knee operation he underwent at the end of last season.
