Almost seven months after the knee injury, Austrian Roland Leitinger has returned to training in the snow on the Swiss Valais Zermatt glacier.

"205 days after my injury, I leave, my first two days in Zermatt went well and then I'll be on the Swiss glacier for several days," writes Leitinger on her Instagram account.
Leitinger, a giant 27-year-old from Salzburger Land, broke an anterior crusader on his right knee while training in a free field at Reiteralm. Last season he was twelfth in Alta Badia.
In the World Cup he had a sixth place finish at the Sölden in 2015, but he was silver medal at St. Moritz 2017 at the balls of his illustrious team-mate Marcel Hirscher.
