Svindal, the future still uncertain

The competitive future of the Norwegian champion is still unknown, as he has not yet decided whether he will take part in the next World Cup.

The motivations of Kjeller's 36-year-old are not in question, but the conditions of her knee, worried after the terrible fall of 2016 in Kitzbühel, are worried. In August he had been the technical director of the Norwegian Alpine skiing to put the first doubts on the future of Aksel. Today, however, it was Jansrud who put the whole world of the white circus into turmoil, returning to the subject. "If Aksel is gone, it will change a lot for our team," said Kjetil. Nothing official then, but certainly another clue to the fact that the career of the Olympic descent champion is really in the balance. A champion in vogue from the far away 2003 when he picked up the heavy legacy of Kjetil André Aamodt and Lasse Kjus and that now Jansrud is ready to collect. Everyone now wonders if Svindal will return to the track, if he continues to paint unique trajectories on the slopes that have consecrated him. No one at the moment can give an answer, maybe not even him. The opportunity for a winning withdrawal could be good at the age of 36, but the Norwegian may not yet be full of victories.
