From 20 to 23 December 2019, the classic World Cup event on the Saslong and then in the temple of the giant, before the year-end weekend in Bormio and the Campiglio slalom on 8 January 2020

During the Fis Calendar Conference, which will end tomorrow in Cavtat-Dubrovnik, Croatia, the Italian stages of the Men's World Cup have been confirmed in full (but there was no doubt about it), with some very important news.
Val Gardena, which will host the super-g on Friday 20 December and the legendary downhill run on the Saslong on Saturday 21st, has traditionally been guaranteed by the international federation to be part of the long-term World Cup calendar, at least until the 2022/2023 season.
"To be able to plan in the best way it is important to have certainty in the long term, we are very happy that the FIS continues to place its trust in us and relies on the know-how that Val Gardena has acquired over the last five decades", the words of Rainer Senoner, president of the Saslong Classic Club.
QUALIFICATIONS ON THE GRAN RISA
In Cavtat-Dubrovnik there was also a delegation from the organization of the World Cup in Alta Badia, represented by president Andy Varallo, Silvio Belardi, Sergio Tiezza and Stefan Thaler, number 1 of the Alta Badia Ski Team.
On the Gran Risa Sunday 22 December will return with the classic giant, won in the last six consecutive editions by Marcel Hirscher, while on Monday 23 there will be the fifth time of the parallel giant slalom; the change concerns precisely the PGS formula, which the FIS has decided to standardize between the male and female sectors (with the first time of the assignment of a dedicated specialty cup), and here there will be the novelty of a qualification to train the board that will lead to the final stage at night with the classic direct confrontations.
