First FIS giant in the French Alps. Less luck for the Azzurri in the second Pass Thurn slalom.

The rich program of FIS contests continues, from the beginning of a week that sees so many protagonists in Val Thorens; in the French Alps, a giant has been staged today (tomorrow it replicates, again among the wide doors) that has seen the imposition of the Swiss Dionys Kippel, class '98 who preceded the transalpine couple composed by Parand (' '99) and Orecchioni (2000). Good sixth place for Michele Gualazzi, with the best blue (Lorenzo Thomas Bini concluded 29th) which preceded by just two cents Cedric Pinturault, born in 2000 and brother of Alexis.
Azzurri who defended themselves well on the Austrian snow, at the end of the weekend: in Hippach, the second FIS junior slalom saw Gabriele Sartori (2001), already fifth last Saturday, get on the podium in second position, 8 tenths from the Philip Hoffmann from Austria and Ralph Seidler in front of the other eagle.
Less luck for the national C, instead, in the second FIS slalom of Pass Thurn: after the triumph of the previous day with Manuel Ploner and seven boys among the first 13 of the order of arrival, the azzurrini commanded with Hofer and Franzoso in front to everyone after the first run, before everything changed in the decisive run. The Croatian Nikic (second the day before) won, ahead of the Austrian Opetnik (again on the podium as in the first slalom) able to recover 13 positions, and to the German Dorn, while Hofer was mocked with the 4th place a penny from the podium, Franzoso left and finally Canins, ninth, and Bendotti, tenth, had to settle for the top ten.
Fuori Ploner and Franzoni, with Della Vite finally 16th.
