Switzerland respected the odds by beating surprising Norway in the team competition of the World Cup finals in Soldeu. Third was Germany which in the final for third place set the equally surprising Canada.

A race with a second-rate field of participation apart from that of Switzerland and Sweden, the only ones to always line up their best athletes and which, however, always meet in the quarter-finals where the Rossocrociati dragged by Ramon regularly win. Zenhaeusern and Wendy Holdener, clearly the strongest in this format. In the quarter-finals Canada beat a C-series Austria 4-0, the same score was suffered by Italy, which lined up Marta Bassino, Manfred Moelgg, Irene Curtoni and Alex Vinatzer, from Germany, beaten by the blues in the final for the World Championships in Are. Final full of twists with Zenhaeusern who made a mistake and lost to Leif Kristian Haugen, Switzerland respected the prediction thanks to the loss of a Sebastian Foss Solevaag stick against Daniel Yule who went to take the victory with more than enough time to prevail over opponents despite the ex-aequo of the score of the heats.
