The 46th edition of the Alpine skiing world championships of 2023 has been assigned to Courchevel and Méribel, two locations in joint application of the French Alps.

The decision was taken by the 51st Costa Navarino FIS Congress, which preferred the transalpine locations to the Austrian Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Méribel hosted the women's alpine skiing competitions of the 1992 Albertville Olympics and both locations are recurring stages in the World Cup, especially for women.
If the FIS informs you, we will tell you the details of the vote. After Cortina 2021 the Circus Bianco for the next world championship will move to France. Both are part of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and the Savoie department and are just over 15 km away from each other.
