Courchevel is ready for the female giant, the Great Risa also for men after Sankt Moritz and Val d''Is re

Tuesday 17th the third seasonal trial in Savoy, in Alta Badia, crossed on the "Bamby" to welcome the big boys in training.

You look at Sankt Moritz and Val d''Isère, but also ... forward. The World Cup returns to Europe and, between Saturday and Sunday, women will compete in the Engadine and men in Savoy; the following week, however, it will be one of the most intense for the white circus, given that the female sector will move immediately to Courchevel for the giant on Tuesday 17, on a modified track that will mark the possible revenge among the blue triumphant in Killington and Mikaela Shiffrin (who won there 12 months ago) and all the other rivals, for the third seasonal appointment among the wide doors. The FIS has already given the go-ahead for the contests of the races, as well as for descent and combined in Val d'Isère on 21-22 of the month, and the same is true for the men involved, after the battle on the Face de Bellevarde , in the super-g and in the descent in Val Gardena (20-21 December); for boys it will then be a time of double giant in Alta Badia, with the classic giant on Sunday 22 and the "new" parallel giant, with the addition of qualifications in the afternoon, on Monday 23. Work is carried out on the Gran Risa, but also on the training track known as "Bamby", barred just today so as to welcome the big expectations for the various training courses in Badia in the coming days. Returning to the program for the next weekend, on the Corviglia di Sankt Moritz will compete Saturday in super-g, with a start scheduled at 10.30 am and tracking entrusted to the American Chip White, while on Sunday the parallel slalom (obviously with a design entrusted to the FIS and then to Markus Mayr) will be played at 9.45 for the qualifying phase and at 13.30 for the grand knockout final. In Val d''Isère, on the other hand, the appointment is on Saturday at 9.30 am for the 1st round of the giant, followed at 13.00 by the decisive test; Sunday for slalom, fixed times at 9.30am and 12.30pm.
