The "new" Swiss Cup calendar with two giants in the Adelboden temple

Skiactu.ch anticipates the choices of the FIS, with three races in the Bernese Oberland, while Wengen should save its slalom (sacrificing the combined).

There is less and less to ratify each decision, but Switzerland is also defining its racing program in the next, very special World Cup season. We have already spoken in recent days of the opening weekend of speed for women in Sankt Moritz, where two super-gs should be run on the weekend of 5-6 December, while in January (23-24 of month) Crans-Montana moves towards the cancellation of the combined (which will in fact disappear from the calendar) and the programming of two descents on Mont Lachaux, but with the door still open to add a super-g. According to what was learned from "skiactu.ch", there is another interesting news regarding Adelboden and therefore the men's World Cup: not only giant and slalom in the temple of Chuenisbargli, with the races confirmed on January 9-10 , but another giant on Friday 8, for a triptych that allows you to combine as many tests as possible from the same disciplines, considering the sacrifice of the race between the wide doors in Beaver Creek. And the following week, we will go to Wengen where, despite the first rumors, we go towards a triptych with two fast races (shortened descent instead of the combined and on Saturday the classic Lauberhorn) and the Sunday slalom which would then be confirmed, also if Schladming remains in the running to host two consecutive ones. And also the World Cup finals will be in Swiss territory, from 15 to 21 March 2021 in Lenzerheide.
