Manuel Pleisch and Beatrice Scalvedi retire from Switzerland

Two very young athletes from the Helvetic Confederation say nothing to agony.

Manuel Pleisch, athlete of the Canton of Grisons, 28 next July 23, retires after having played 37 World Cup races, all in giant, the first in Val d'Isère on 11 December 2010 and the last in Garmisch- Partenkirchen on 29 January 017. His best result was the 16th place in Sölden on 26 October 2014, he was also fourth in the Junior World Cup in 2010 and he was once second and three times third in the European Cup in giant winning even the classification of specialties in 2013. For his chronic back problems, due to which he had not competed for two years, he must unfortunately say goodbye to the agonizing also a great promise as Beatrice Scalvedi, from Blenio, who will turn 23 on 27 June. Only one World Cup race took place, the Altenmarkt-Zauchensee descent on January 9th 2016, in that same year it was silver downhill at the Junior World Championships in Sochi and won the Davos European Cup downhill finishing second the specialty ranking.
