In Val d''Is re confirmed times at inverted races, in Sankt Moritz nothing will change with super-g and parallel

For Saturday and Sunday bad weather is likely to affect the World Cup, with slalom and men's giant on the "Face" and the tests in the Engadine. Trackers and official timetables.

The weather is likely to heavily influence the return of the World Cup in Europe, with the next weekend that includes the men's technical races in Val d''Isère and a super-g and the first parallel slalom of the season for girls, in that of Sankt Moritz. The situation that worries most seems to be that in Haute-Savoie, where yesterday it was decided for the inversion of the races: slalom Saturday, giant Sunday as the worst day, with heavy snowfall, is scheduled for Friday and prepare the "Face de Bellevarde ”shortened for the challenge between the rapid gates is clearly simpler. Today the FIS has formalized the race times, which remain the original ones for the respective specialties: slalom at 9.30am and 12.30pm, giant with 1st run at 9.30am and second at 1.00pm. The trackers will be the British Glasse-Davies and the German Brunner for the Saturday race, while among the wide doors the design was entrusted to the Austrian Prantner for the first and to the coach of the Azzurri, Roberto Saracco, for the second run. We recall that last year in Val d''Isère the slalom was canceled due to strong gusts of wind, while the reversal of the races took place in December 2012, with Pinturault winning slalom on Saturday and Hirscher in giant 24 hours later. The program of Sankt Moritz does not change, after having feared also in this case an inversion of the races: the super-g will take place on Saturday at 10.30 am (tracking of the American Chip White), while the parallel slalom remains fixed at 9.45 am on Sunday for the qualification that will bring to the scoreboard to 32 athletes, with new way for the decisive phase at 13.30.
