The Canadian and the US impose themselves at the start of the triptych of Canadian races, which arrive three weeks after the opening of Copper Mountain.

Three weeks after the opening of Copper Mountain, which had hosted two men's and two women's slalom races, the Nor-Am Cup came alive with the speedy triptych in Lake Louise, which after World Cup men and women sent on stage two descents and a super-g for both sectors, until Friday.
Today the first descent of the North American circuit saw, at least for the men's race, various protagonists of the CdM competitions between Lake Louise and Beaver Creek: the Canadian class '97 Jeffrey Read won in a race on the balance seen that compatriot Cameron Alexander was mocked for 1 cent, with Kyle Alexander third at 6. Then the pair of Americans, formed by Morse and Maple, distant respectively 10 and 16 cents from the winner; has disappointed the possible favorite, the Canadian Brodie Seger who had impressed in the World Cup, but was placed only eighth at 55 cents posting, just before the most famous compatriot Dustin Cook, at the end of the tenth.
There are very few women, only fifteen, in the women's downhill dominated by Keely Cashman: the 20-year-old American woman (who did not bring home World Cup points in the Lake Louise triptych last weekend) is dominating the Nor-Am Cup 2019 / 2020, if we think that it was placed second and third in the two Copper Mountain slalom and today it has distanced the Canadian Stefanie Fleckenstein of 55 cents and the compatriot Isabella Wright of 81.
