A weekend for the parallel between Soelden and Levi: in November the decision of the FIS to enter it from next season

There are many running candidates, although Austria seems to be the main favorite.

We are talking about the weekend dedicated to the parallel, which the FIS has already foreseen in the draft of the calendars starting from the 2020/21 season, to be inserted between the races of Soelden and Levi. Too many weeks off, this year even four, between the giants on the Rettenbach and the slalom on the Levi Black (scheduled for this season on November 23-24), so here, despite the complaints of athletes, teams and professionals on the too thick calendar, the international federation will go straight on its own way also on this front. The dates are already set, ie those of 14-15 November 2020, three weeks after the opening in Soelden (24-25 October) and in the previous weekend compared to Levi (21-22 November): in the program there would be a parallel slalom and a team event and, as the new head of the Wunderteam's organizational staff, Patrick Riml, reported, there would be Austria in pole position to host the stage that would become the second of the season. The town of Zurs, in Vorarlberg, is one of those indicated, but also Italy and Norway have shown interest and would like to try. A decision will already be taken next November.
