Really sensational curling blues, those who yield only to the extra end in a match that seemed out of reach, in the presence of the two-time reigning world champions of Sweden.
Team Retornaz loses 7-6 the third match at the Calgary World Cup (after beating South Korea and China on the first day), after fighting with Niklas Edin and teammates starting the lead (2-0) and leaving room for the Swedes only at the fourth end, with 3 points that will weigh on the economy of the match. However, the Scandinavians mark only in three out of ten ends, with Joel Retornaz who invents the millimeter play that forces the challenge to extra time.
Today a double engagement for the Azzurri at 5pm Italian time, against Germany, then at 2.00am the crucial match against Japan, in what can be considered a sort of first play-off with a view to Olympic qualification.
