A victory and a defeat for the Azzurri on the third day of the world championships in Calgary: on the Italian night two other crucial challenges with Switzerland and the United States.

A bittersweet day for the Italian curling team, in the fourth and fifth challenge of the first phase of a world championship that still sees the Azzurri in full race for the Olympic passes, even if the road is a bit more uphill after the knockout last night against Japan.
Retornaz and his teammates had clearly won, as expected, against Germany: 9-3 with German abandonment at the 7th end, while the direct confrontation was the one with Japan, who had the better of 5-2 complicating a bit '' the plans of the Azzurri with a view to qualification. In this sense, the double win on the next day of competitions in Calgary is fundamental: tonight, at 23 Italian, the duel with Switzerland followed, at 3.00, by the one with the United States.
