E 'bronze blue on the ice of Lillehammer: Italy dominates Norway and returns to the podium

European curling championships: hosts clearly beaten (10-4) by Retornaz, Arman, Mosaner and Gonin, able to repeat the result of 2018.

Lillehammer ice is bluer than ... norge. A final for the bronze that gives curling Italy another medal at the European championships, of the same metal 3 years later but with the awareness of having grown further, as evidenced by the resounding victory in the round robin with Sweden (which today will be played yet another title against Scotland), and even more the same semifinal against Edin and his teammates, able to regulate the blues practically only on the last shot. Twenty-four hours later, Retornaz and his teammates were able to go for a well-deserved podium, beating host Norway 10-4 (closing at the eighth end) in a final for the bronze without history, so much so that Italy had already escaped at 5-1 after 3 ends and at 8-3 at the fifth. Then in full control up to close the accounts to get around his neck a bronze of great value for Joel Retornaz, Sebastiano Arman, Amos Mosaner and Simone Gonin, authors of a practically perfect continental tournament.
