The Azzurri of Team Trentino Retornaz dominated the scene on the Bern ice. In the final they got rid of the formation led by Dutch Gosgens with 4 points in the seventh end for the final 8-3. Three titles out of eight tournaments, including two Grand Slam events, in which only once did the group stage fail. These numbers are not enough to do justice to the best start to the season ever of an Italian team, men or women it makes no difference.
Of the 32 games won out of 40 in the last 2 and a half months, 20 were closed even before playing the last hand by Jöel Retornaz, Amos Mosaner, Sebastiano Arman and the returning Mattia Giovanella! In addition to the successes in Adelboden, Stirling and Bern, the Cembra quartet has collected four quarter-finals.
On three occasions, the tricolor team has surrendered to the black beast Yannik Schwaller. In 20 days there are the European Championships in Oestersund, where the goal is the playoffs, to try to return to the podium after the bronze in Tallinn 2018 and Lillehammer 2021.
