The 2023 of blue curling kicks off today at the Dewars Center in Perth, Scotland.
In fact, the tricolor national teams take to the ice for the Perth Masters, the first appointment of this second part of the season. On the one hand there will be the men's team led by skip Joel Retornaz (Fiamme Oro), flanked by Amos Mosaner (Aeronautica Militare), Sebastiano Arman (Aeronautica Militare) and Mattia Giovanella (Fiamme Gialle), on the other in the women's tournament here is the coach Violetta Caldart's team, led by Stefania Constantini (Fiamme Oro), Angela Romei (Fiamme Gialle), Marta Lo Deserto (Fiamme Gialle) and Giulia Zardini Lacedelli (Curling Club Dolomiti).
Team Constantini was placed in group B together with the Germans of Team Jentsch, the Scottish of Team Farmer, Team Blair and Team Mitchell and the Swedes of Team Dryburgh (two groups of six teams each). On the other hand, twenty-four men's teams entered with Retornaz and his companions in group C together with Team Ramsfjell (Norway), Team Stocker (Switzerland), Team Totzek (Germany) and the Scots Team Craik and Strawhorn.
From 4 to 6 January the matches of the group stage, Saturday 7 instead the knockout stage up to the finals that will close the weekend: "We are happy to take part in this traditional high-level tournament which returns after the cancellation of the last season.
