Back in Colorado before the opening in Soelden, after a week without skis, here is the American champion on the track. The big goal is the two Finnish slaloms.

While her great rivals battled in the Soelden opening, she had returned home with a thousand doubts in mind and a return to the World Cup again postponed.
In recent days he had spoken of the desire to finally compete in the maximum circuit starting from the two slalom scheduled in Levi on 21 and 22 November and now, finally, it seems that Mikaela Shiffrin is on the right path. As she herself said on social media, "a small step, but still a step", or rather the return to the track between the poles of "her" slalom, after skiing only in the free field in recent weeks, after the back problem announced and forced her to skip the opening on the Rettenbach.
A couple of days before Soelden, the American champion had returned to Colorado and now, after a week still dedicated to a lot of physiotherapy, here she is on the slopes of Vail for a slalom session, together with her team including the faithful skiman, the Austrian Johann Strobl who followed her traveling from Europe. At 99% Mikaela will not compete in Lech, in the Austrian parallel where the World Cup will restart on 13 November, but at this point the road to Levi seems to have been drawn. And after almost ten months of absence, we will find the star that has dominated the white circus in recent years.
