On the first day of Skipass, the Tourism and Winter Sports Fair of Modena, Sofia Goggia was proclaimed for the second year running Athlete of the Year FISI.

The Bergamo has received the highest number of preferences from fans by virtue of its Olympic gold and the World Cup of specialties won both downhill. The only one who could counter it in terms of last season's palmares was her Michela Moioli hatchet, who won the same titles in the snowboard cross.
Sofia, who will turn 26 on November 15th, is currently injured in the right malleolus and three days ago she posted a picture of herself on Twitter with a brace applied in place of the plaster. Some media say it could return to the race on the occasion of the descent and the super-G in Cortina d'Ampezzo on the 19th and 20th of January.
