After last night, Aksel Lund Svindal came back on the skis, and he himself on his Facebook page told one of his long-term reflections about the contradictory sensations he experienced in re-surfing the first curves in the snow.

"After more than 7 months, it was time to get back on the skis," writes Aksel. There is a lot of rehabilitation to be done to bring an injured knee ready for the activity you really want and you need it to work: skiing! Apparently skiing is one of the toughest for the knees. There is nothing surprising, as many skiers undergo knee surgery. But there is also a reminder when you click on the attacks and make the first easy turns. Months of exercises to prepare you for that moment, and you still do not feel well when you make those first curves. But anyone who has experience will tell you to have some patience ... easy to say, more difficult to live. The only thing you really want is to feel perfect, and that is not the case. But patience is paid, and so is this time. The first day was horrible, then followed a few days with more cycling and less skiing, and after 4-5 days things started to get better. So this first snow training was like the time in Norway. A contradictory experience. Hard when ugly, but then absolutely fantastic when it's nice. "
We remember that the last race played by Svindal was the men's descent of the World Cup of Val Gardena, where he placed second behind the Austrian Max Franz and after which he was operated on the meniscus of the right knee.

A Lione (dove ci saranno tutti gli appuntamenti del ghiaccio tranne lo speedskating), la riunione decisiva con il programma di Alpes 2030 ora sigillato: per lo sci alpino, quindi, L'Eclipse accoglierà discesa, super-g e le combinate a squadre, mentre la Face de Bellevarde accoglierà gigante e slalom maschili, con le donne impegnate sulla Joseray che è attesa quindi in CdM per una sorta di test event. Scartata l'ipotesi di un rientro per la Oreiller-Killy.
