Alessandro Serra: "The recipe for improvement is so many daily training sessions on the snow"

The work of the group of men's World Cup races on the Stelvio glacier is going on intensely.

There are also Giovanni Borsotti, Giulio Bosca, Luca De Aliprandini (who missed a couple of days because of the flu), Alex Hofer, Manfred Moelgg (arrived on Monday), Roberto Nani and Riccardo Tonetti, with them the new head of the giant Alessandro Serra, the technicians Ruggero Muzzarelli, Devid Salvadori and Daniele Simoncelli and the athletic trainer Andrea Viano. Always at the Stelvio but on different tracks there is also a trio of downhill skiers composed by Emanuele Buzzi, Peter Fill and Christof Innerhofer with the sector manager Alberto Ghidoni and the technicians Christian Corradino and Raimund Plancker. "We are doing a lot of training but above all we try to give a sign of change these days - says Serra a fisi.org -, through a volume of work that is unknown for many of us in the summer, with lots of skiing, many curves, a a bit of speed as much as possible, for a total of at least 20 laps per day. This is a particularly varied menu and we intend to keep this pace until 6 July, without granting rest days.We want to start with a new concept, a little bit we had to adjust ourselves and we must fall into the unprecedented reality. In the last days we will make a real giant with high piles to further raise the bar. There will remain another meeting on the snow ahead and then the trip to South America, where the new concepts will have to be assimilated ".
