Fracture in his right leg for the Canadian Robbie Dixon

One of the veterans of the Canadian alpine ski team, the 29 year-old Robbie Dixon, & you egrave; fractured the tibia in his right leg while training last week in Zermatt, Switzerland.

Diagnosis & egrave; been made to the & rsquo; hospital in Visp where Dixon & egrave; was transported by helicopter and l & rsquo; accident & egrave; was located just below a similar fracture in the right tibia that always Dixon, along with that of the fibula, had suffered 15 November 2012 in a disastrous fall during a downhill FIS in Copper Mountain, Colorado, an injury that caused him to miss an entire year of races. The 'athlete & egrave; gi & agrave; flew to Canada where he will come & agrave; operated. Dixon & egrave; became part of the national teams of the leaf d & rsquo; maple in 2005, & rsquo; following year he played the first of his 79 races of the World Cup in which & egrave; arrived among the top ten 11 times, his best result is two fourth places in super-G, in Kvitfjell March 2, 2008 and Beaver Creek December 3, 2011, in quest & rsquo; latter case only 5 cents from the third place. L & rsquo; past winter & egrave; managed to return to the races but after the last downhill in Wengen January 18 & you egrave; again stopped. Now we hope that this new injury is not the trunks career prematurely, as happened to his compatriot Brad Spence who has announced his retirement four days ago.
