The week of the absolute Italian championships of Santa Caterina Valfurva started today, with the dispute of timed trials of the descents.

At the end of December the men's and women's slalom titles were handed out to Riccardo Tonetti at Bormio. From tomorrow, both men and women will receive the other eight titles on the track dedicated to Deborah Compagnoni. Tomorrow there will be the descents and the combined, on Friday the super-G, Saturday the male giant and Sunday the female one. Every day the program will start at 8.
Meanwhile, as we said, today the trials of the two descents were disputed. In the women's fastest was Hanna Schnarf with just one hundredth of an advantage over Sofia Goggia and 81 over Nadia Fanchini, in the men's one was installed in front of all Christof Innerhofer with 32 cents on Matteo Marsaglia and 75 on Dominik Paris.
