At the FIS Calendar in Portoroz, Slovenia, a proposal was submitted by Italy, in particular by the sports director of Alpine Skiing Blue, Massimo Rinaldi.

The proposal foresees the amendment of the athlete replacement rule in World Cup racing by allowing athletes up to 120th place on the FIS list of each specialty and no more than 100th place to be able to take over. This amendment aims to include young people in the starting lists and will be officially ratified by Sunday's FIS board vote.
It will also change the starting order of the descent tests: odd numbers from 1 to 19 will no longer choose pettors, as they will continue to compete, but the pettorals will be drawn. Everything else will remain unchanged.
