Presentation of the Crans-Montana application for the World Championships in 2025

After announcing it in the last weeks, the executive chairman of the nomination committee Marius Robyr presented the relevant logo on Wednesday, to the candidacy of Crans-Montana for the Alpine skiing World Cup in 2025.

Alpine skiing has a pioneering tradition in the Swiss town of the Canton of Valais which in 1911 hosted the race that was the first embryo of the future downhill. In 1977 he landed for the first time in the World Cup with a descent, a slalom and a women's combined, in 1987 there were disputed the World Championships marked by the home athletes who at that time possessed a true generation of phenomena, finally from 2016 is stable stage of the Circo Rosa. The presentation of the logo is a further step to get to the organization of the World Cup in 2025 whose candidacy will be officially forwarded to the FIS next May 1, while on September 1 will have to get the dossier to the international federation, which will choose the host site five years before the event, ie on the occasion of the 2020 federal congress.
