First race of the 2014 Men's European Cup, the first of two night slalom in Chamonix within 24 hours, and the success of one of the darlings of the house, Jean-Baptiste Grange.

The French champion in 2011 and winner of the specialty in the continental competition between the posts close on March 11 in Kranjska Gora, has climbed up from seventh place in the first moto doing exactly the opposite of compatriot Steve Missillier, demoted from first to sixth place. Grange has four tenths ahead of Briton David Ryding, winner December 15 another night slalom in Pozza di Fassa, recovery from the tenth position.
