The President of the Council Enrico Letta, together with the President of CONI John Malagò and the President of Fisi Flavio Roda, met with a delegation of the candidacy of Cortina d'' Ampezzo to the Alpine World Ski Championships 2019. The delegation of the "Queen of the Dolomites" was led by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Chairman of the Committee of Honour'' the application and, by Enrico Valle Chairman of the organizing committee, and was also composed by Henry Pompanin, deputy mayor of Cortina and Maurizio Gandolfi , marketing Cortina, 2019. Also present was the Minister for Regional Affairs Graziano Delrio.
Prior to the meeting of the Executive Cones, Letta he met with the delegation of Cortina ensuring the support of the Government and of the top institutions in the application for the World Cup.
Cortina d'' Ampezzo is vying with Sweden's Are for the assignment'''' s 2019 edition of the World Championships: the decision on the location in which they will be assigned to those World Cup will be taken at the FIS Congress in May 2014 in Barcelona.
