Italy becomes the home of international grass skiing, hosting the last two stages of a World Cup restarted today with the first of the two races scheduled in Cortina (next week there will be the finals in Sauris , in Friuli Venezia Giulia).
The Ampezzo giants are in the name of the Czech Republic, with the two leaders of the movement, Martin Bartak and Eliska Rejchrtova, who are unrivaled. The leader of the general, one step away from the final triumph, beats the German Marcel Knapp by 65 cents, with the Italian captain Lorenzo Gritti in 3rd place, 81 cents behind the winner. Fourth place for Daniele Buio (+ 1 ”17), with a top ten with strong Italian colors closed by the eighth place of Filippo Zamboni and Davide Saviane ninth.
Among the top twenty also Nicolò Schiavetti (14th), Nathan Seganti (18th) and Roberto Cerentin (20th). Nicolò Pettini finished in 22nd position, Alex Galler 23rd, Nicholas Anziutti 25th, Michael Bertagno 26th and Otto Pasini 27th.
In the female giant, Margherita Mazzoncini hoisted herself on the third step of the podium, confirming her golden moment after the sensational first cup successes obtained in Dizin. The Venetian closed at 71 cents from the very young and wild Eliska Rejchrtova, first in front of the Austrian Lara Teynor for just 7 cents. Tenth Antonella Manzoni, eleventh Federica Milesi, thirteenth Chiara Milesi and fourteenth Federica Libardi in Italy.
