Technical director Fausto Cerentin has announced the squad for the fifth and penultimate stage of the 2022 World Cup of grass skiing, scheduled for the weekend in Cortina d''Ampezzo with sixteen blues at the starting gate.
An appointment that precedes the finals of the maximum circuit, also in Italy with the three days (9-11 September) in Sauris in Friuli. The program of the Ampezzo event will see the dispute of the male and female giant on Saturday 3 September (11.15-14.15 the two heats), while on Sunday 4 there will be space for the super-g (10.45).
Leading the Italian team will be among the men, after the good second place obtained in the supergiant of Dizin, the captain Lorenzo Gritti. Also present were the junior world champion Filippo Zamboni and Daniele Buio, fresh from his first career victory in the World Cup, in the slalom in Iran. The men's team will also be completed by Nicolò Schiavetti, Davide Saviane, Michael Bertagno, Nicholas Anziutti, Alex Galler, Otto Pasini, Nicolò Pettini, Nathan Seganti and Roberto Cerentin.
Women will be competing Margherita Mazzoncini - amazing in Dizin with the double victory in both the giant and the super-g - Antonella Manzoni, Federica Milesi and Federica Libardi.
Two stages from the end of this World Cup season, among the men there is firmly in command the Czech Martin Bartak with 570 points, followed by the blue trio composed of Filippo Zamboni, Lorenzo Gritti and Daniele Buio respectively at 301, 296 and 270 lengths. Among the women, the first two places belong to the two Czechs Karolina Rasovska (495 points) and Eliska Rejchrtova (390 points). Third position for Margherita Mazzoncini with 380 points.
