As has become tradition since 2003, the FIS Council & egrave; met during the rest day of the Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail / Beaver Creek.

Two decisions taken during the meeting. After the disappearance of the Finnish Jouko T & ouml; rm & auml; nen on January 3, the Council decided to appoint a successor as head of the Committee Ski Jumping also in view of the World Championships of Nordic skiing starting February 18 in Falun, in Sweden. To be elected & egrave; Mika was Kojonkoski, in turn Finnish, 51 years and a long career as a coach in Finland, Austria and Norway. Currently & egrave; the Director of & rsquo; & rdquo; Unit of Great Performance & rdquo; National Olympic Committee Finnish. Kojonkoski & egrave; was preferred to the Slovenian Franci Petek and the Norwegian Bertil Paulsrud.
Also, on a proposal from federsci Swedish organizing committee of the World Alpine Ski of 2019, were assigned to & Aring; re also the Alpine World Ski Championships junior of 2017, which will then also be testing for infrastructure and the preparations for the World Championships two-year pi & ugrave; later.
