QUEBEC CITY (Canada) - The National Olympic Committee announced today that three Canadian athletes of alpine skiing will be part of the team that will participate in the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 (February 7 to 23). This is Marie-Michèle Gagnon (Lac-Etchemin, QC), just won his first race at the World Cup, the super combined in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Brittany Phelan (Mont-Tremblant, QC) and Larisa Yurkiw (Owen Sound, ON). Here are the first women after the appointment of Erik Guay, Manuel Osborne-Paradis and Jan Hudec last week.

Canada has won a total of 10 Olympic medals, including men and women, in alpine skiing. Of these, eight have come by the girls, Green, Percy and Lee-Gartner in the first place.
