The 53 year old is Markus Anwander the new head coach of the Germany women in the place of Thomas Stauffer.

Anwander working in the technical staff of the German federsci since 1988 and has held various positions of responsibility various teams in alpine skiing and over the years has coached stars like Katja Seizinger and Maria Riesch.
"I am eager to take on this new challenge and working with the women's team - says Anwander -. The facilities and colleagues are very familiar to me after so many years in the federation. I am confident to lead to good results the team with my experience and with the new coaching staff. "
Christian Schwaiger, for eight years in charge of the technical disciplines German women, go to the men's team as responsible for the racers. Andreas Ertl instead becomes the capoallenatore group of young people at Martin Oßwald leaving the federation. Ertl act as the discoverer and promoter of young talent in coordination with the technical aspects of national and square with the general manager of Alpine skiing Wolfgang Maier.
"With the change in some key positions of the technical staff of Alpine skiing, we have created the conditions for a good start for the next winter - says Maier -. Markus Anwander, Mathias Berthold and Andreas Ertl coaches have experience in positions of responsibility that will promote all together the whole development of alpine skiing. "
