Season over for the Swiss Manuel Pleisch

The 23 year-old Swiss Pleisch Manuel was seriously injured by falling on his right knee in the first round of the men's giant World Cup in Val d'Isère.

Pleisch, as reported by swiss-ski.ch, reported the rupture of the medial ligament, fracture of the tibial plateau and there is suspicion of rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament. Pleisch is already returning to Switzerland where he will be operated. His season that started so promising with the eighteenth place in the giant slalom in Beaver Creek, his best result in the World Cup, is unfortunately already over.
