The Italian Winter Sports Federation announced the names of 19 athletes, 11 men and 8 women, who will defend the colors of the Italian'' in alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Here are the names of atieti chosen by the heads of the men's and the women's Claudio Ravetto Raimund Plancker. Men: Aliprandini De Luca, Peter Fill, Stephen Gross, Werner Heel, Christof Innerhofer, Manfred Moelgg, Roberto Nani, Dominik Paris, Giuliano Razzoli, Davide Simoncelli and Patrick Thaler. Women: Federica Brignone, Chiara Costazza, Elena Fanchini, Nadia Fanchini, Denise Karbon, Francesca Marsaglia, Daniela Merighetti and Verena Stuffer.
