It is made the twelfth edition of "Wake with the Champions," the charity sporting event, in memory of Barbara Compagnoni, non-sport athlete prematurely. The non-competitive ski race whose protagonists are so many familiar faces and lots of sports fans of this discipline is Skiing for Life organized by the non-profit organization led by Deborah Compagnoni. Again this year, the Association raised funds dedicated to the project "Come on!" Maria Letizia Verga Committee for the construction of the new Specialist Centre in Monza for the treatment and research of childhood leukemia, which will be open shortly.

Santa Caterina, April 6 - On a beautiful sunny day, surrounded by snow-capped mountains is extraordinary made the twelfth edition: many participants, more than 400 members, and the samples that were nicely challenged: Giorgio Rocca, Kristian Ghedina, Lara Gut, Manuela Di Centa, Antonio Rossi, Mattia Cola, Marco De Gasperi Katia Colturi, Patrizia Auer, Bibiana Perez, Alessandro Benetton, Oreste Peccedi, Claudio De Tassis, Sabina Panzanini, Martina Valcepina, Yuri Confortola, Christian De Lorenzi and Fabio Meraldi as well as the champions of the sport of Valfurva as Peter Vitalini, Giuseppe Compagnoni, Tino Pietrogiovanna, and of course Deborah Compagnoni .
The teams participated with enthusiasm and gaiety, united by a joint and several important goal.
First place team, captained by Deborah Compagnoni, declaring "I am very happy because after twelve years my team, for the first time, won in a day like this important for solidarity. "
Ricola, M & G with their productions always colorful and lively, the many Ski Club who participated in the Lombardy Region, which has joined the initiative, and over 700 people present, have helped to make it even more cheerful and festive atmosphere.
The event is was a real success. The night before the sporting event is organized a charity dinner at the Refuge Sunny Valley. Nearly 200 people have joined and that, during the evening, got to know and chat with the champions of yesterday and today.
Deborah Compagnoni, moved, thanked all the participants, partners and sponsors who in recent years have joined in supporting the Association for many years engaged in the field of solidarity.
